Training tomorrow’s nurses

The new library and teaching block of Aru Nursing College was built with regular tranches from Semiliki combined with contributions from the students’ fees.

Like all schools and institutes, the Nursing College had had to temporarily close with the Covid-19 pandemic, but should get up and running again very quickly once the lockdown has been lifted. Once qualified, nurses can work in the large network of health centres, like this one in Kumuru with its new delivery room:

The last tranche of $1,000 we sent to the Nursing College was used to purchase and install solar panels, a battery and voltage converter for the administrative block:
