Rumu village is right on the corner of north east Congo with Uganda and Sudan. The busy health centre receives patients from all 3 countries. Semiliki supported the building of the maternity, which provides a safe place for women to have normal deliveries, or from where they can be referred to hospital if they need a C-section or other surgery.

Houses below the centre provide accommodation for the nurse-in-charge Anyomi and midwife.

Other building challenges included keeping the termite mounds down!
